The History Centre

clematis

Wytham has a rich history, originally owned by the Earl’s of Abingdon. The History Centre is set up to preserve all the information collected and given over the years. Starting from Roman times and going right up to today. Mentioned in the doomsday book, Wytham is situated near the Thames and below the famous Wytham Woods, used for study and recognised worldwide.

The village is famous for its badgers, beautiful buildings, long term studies and being a stone's throw from Oxford. Just a walk or ride away and now with a bus connection from the centre of Oxford (Mon to Fri).
